Can my weathervane be installed as a sculpture indoors? - Yes, we can provide a base or mount for displaying your weathervane on a wall, table, or mantlepiece.
Will my weathervane require any maintenance? - No, your weathervane is made of stainless steel with brass directionals. The brass and stainless never need painting. The brass will weather to a black and green antique finish over time, and the stainless steel stays bright. The mounting post is not stainless steel, however. It comes with 2 coats of rust-proof primer. Over time the post may require re-painting, but it is solid steel and will not rust away.
What about weathervanes depicting fours or eights? - Fours or eights are custom orders, and each will be a unique sculpture. Fours or eights will be larger (about 42" wide) and will be cut from the same stainless steel as our singles and mixed doubles, but the gauge of the metal will be a bit heavier. The stainless can have the same swirl finish, or it can be ordered with a powder-coat colored finish.
